Donald Trump Is the Overwhelming Favorite of Nascar Fans

​Donald Trump is currently an overwhelming favorite to be the next President of the United States according to a recent preference poll of 1,572 NASCAR fans.  Trump was favored by 44.0% of the fans surveyed, more than 30 percentage points higher than the second place finisher, Hillary Clinton, at 10.4%.  Rounding out the Top 5 were Ben Carson at 7.0%, Bernie Sanders at 4.1% and Jeb Bush at 3.4%.

The poll, conducted August 29-31, 2015 by RacingUSA.com, had a 2.5% margin of error at a 95% confidence level.

Trump's "Make America Great Again" theme is resonating with NASCAR fans.

Republicans favored Trump 50.8%; Carson 9.7%; and Bush 5.5%; with Rubio and Cruz tied for fourth at 4.0% each.

Independents favored Trump 49.0%; Carson 6.8%; Clinton 5.8%; and Sanders 3.9%.

Democrats favored Clinton 41.2%; Trump 19.8%; Sanders 13.9%; and Biden 7.1%. 

12.1% of the respondents were undecided.

Carrington continued, “Not only did Trump do well with Republicans at 50.8%, he also showed strength with Independents at 49.0% and Democrats at 19.8%.
